SOIL PROTECTION REVIEWS
As from the 01 September 2006 it is compulsory for every farm to have completed their soil protection review, to ensure that they remain compliant under the rules of Single Payment Scheme.
If you have not already completed this review, or you have still not received the appropriate booklet then feel free to contact Pat Lane for more information.
NITRATE VULNERABLE ZONES (NVZ’s) WORKSHOPS
On land located within an NVZ you must comply with the NVZ Action Programme Measures. These requirements include not exceeding manure applications on your land and keeping accurate records of manure and fertiliser applications.
In addition NVZ’s have been incorporated into the Cross Compliance requirements which need to be met in order to receive payments under the Single Payments Scheme (SPS).
To help you meet these requirements two half day (or evening) workshops are available through the Defra funded Environment Sensitive Farming programme.
